SCRANTON, Pa. -- The seventh Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College women's volleyball student-athlete, Neurdia Osias (Huntington Station, NY)!

"Nerd" had 18 kills in three matches, hitting .333 for the week and helping the Falcons go 2-1. After posting just four kills against Northampton, Neurdia had a solid weekend, posting 14 kills at a .387 clip in her two matches against Bergen and Atlantic Cape. Osias has had a solid seven matches in a row, never posting less than four kills and averaging just over two kills per set (2.2) and posting 57 kills in seven matches. She's second on the team with 92 kills, averaging 1.39 per set, and hitting at .245, first on the squad. Nerd is second on the team in blocks (16 total blocks). 

Neurdia is a sophomore student-athlete at Lackawanna, studying Criminal Justice, and she will be a guest on a future episode of Falcons Corner, airing every Wednesday at 10am ET at lackawannafalcons.com/youtube.

Lackawanna College women's volleyball is back to work on Thursday, October 23rd, with a road contest in Region XIX Division II play at County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ. First serve is set for 6:00pm ET.
