SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lackawanna College Women's Soccer team will continue their road tour when they travel to southeastern PA to take on the Harcum College Bears at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 13
th at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken.

About The Falcons
Lackawanna College (0-7-0) comes into the game after a 9-1 loss to Mercer County CC this past weekend. The lone Falcon goal came off a corner from
Rachel Apsley that found the foot of
Ashley Bruno, who scored her third goal for Lackawanna College this year.
Â
The veterans are the leaders for the Falcons, as Apsley (3 goals) and Bruno (3) lead the team in scoring.
Jada Tha has the other goal, a free-kick against Hagerstown CC.

Sophia Andreoli is mainly the keeper, and had 16 saves against Mercer County. She did play in the midfield against Hagerstown due to some injuries for the Falcons. Sophia has 73 saves so far this season.
Emily Cherubini has seen time in between the sticks for the Falcons this year, and had 12 saves against Hagerstown CC.

The Falcons are led by first-year head coach
Megan Tweedy, a Lakeland HS product and former Lackawanna College soccer player. Megan was a multi-sport athlete in her time at Lackawanna College, and has spent time coaching both AAU and HS soccer locally in NEPA.

About The Opponents
The Bears (2-4-0) come into the contest having won two of their last three matches, including a 4-2 win over Mercer County on October 5
th. In their two wins, the Bears scored a combined nine goals. In their four losses, they have a combined three goals. Â

As far as common opponents, the Bears lost to Sussex County 2-1 (Falcons lost 10-0) and split two games against Mercer County (Falcons lost 9-1).

Peta-Gay Dixon has the team-lead with four goals scored this season, while Natasha Dudley and Marina Zuhr each have two apiece. Ashley Hooper has been the main keeper for the Bears, with close to 20 saves on the year.

Samantha Farlow is the head coach at Harcum, entering her ninth year with the program. Farlow was the team captain for Temple University during the 2011 season, and eventually graduated with a degree in health and physical education in 2013. She is a Bensalem High School product, and was inducted into their athletic hall of fame in 2014.

Wednesday's game is set for a 3:00pm kick at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken.
