SCRANTON, Pa. -- The fourth Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College women's volleyball first-year setter, Ellania Morales (Wharton, NJ)!

The first-year player averaged 17.3 assists on the week, posting a season-best 22 assists in the win against Raritan the past Saturday. Morales also had six aces and 12 digs in the win. On Thursday, she posted a season-best four kills and 19 assists in the three-set sweep past Union. She had eleven assists and seven digs in the loss to Monroe. Morales is second on the team this year with 116 assists, averaging just under three per set. She had to step into a more feature role in the offense in the absence of Kaitlyn Reed (Aurora, CO). Morales is second on the team with 24 aces on the year. She has 104 digs, third on the team this year.

Lackawanna College women's volleyball is home for another match this Wednesday, October 1st, against Harford CC. First serve is set for 5:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
