SCRANTON, Pa. -- The third Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College women's volleyball outside hitter, Jana Hofmann (Colorado Springs, CO)!

Hofmann had one of her best matches of the season last week, hitting a blistering .682 and posting a season-best 15 kills in the three-set win at Harcum College last Thursday night. Hofmann also added ten digs and a team-high five aces, as the Falcons picked up a big Region XIX Division II road victory. She now leads the team with 88 kills and averages 2.75 kills per set. Hofmann also leads the Falcons with 27 aces this season.She's fourth overall in Region XIX in kills, and second amongst Division II players. She's also second in Division II in aces. Jana was a second-team All-American selection for the Falcons last year.

Lackawanna College women's volleyball has won two straight matches and will look to make it three-in-a-row in its the Falcons' next contest on Thursday, September 25th, when Union College (NJ) comes to Scranton. First set is scheduled for 6:00pm ET.
