Lackawanna College won it's 200th game in program history by setting a team scoring record

Box Score 10/16/22

CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- Lackawanna College won its 200th game in program history in style, setting several offensive records in an 88-0 shut-out win over Queen City Collegiate Prep on Sunday, October 16th in Chesterfield, Virginia.

The Falcons (4-1) had been idle for 22 days, having not played a game since Saturday, September 24th against Sussex County CC. In Sunday's contest, the Falcons took out their frustrations, plastering the Sharks with 12 touchdowns, a field goal, and a safety, on a blustery afternoon at LC Bird High School.

Lackawanna College set program records for points in a game, margin of victory (88), and shut-out victory (88-0), while also setting two individual records, as Benjamin Paserk (Batavia, NY) set the record for most extra points (11) in one game, and Barry Brown (Philadelphia, PA) broke the program record for all-time touchdown passes with a pair in the second half, setting the record at 33 for his career.

The Falcons got three touchdown runs from Terez Worthy (Salisbury, MD), two rushing and two passing touchdowns from Brown, a fumble recovery touchdown by Lonnie Rice (Philadelphia, PA) and two interception returns for touchdown by Axel Vega Rodriguez (Bethlehem, PA) and Kelvin Zoomie (Philadelphia, PA).

Lackawanna scored on its first six possessions, taking advantage of short fields thanks to an interception from Janaasah Boone (Peckville, PA) and quick three-and-outs from the Falcon defense. Worthy scored on a pair of touchdowns on the first two possessions, and Brown punched in a pair on the next two possessions. Paserk made his first field goal of the season on the next possession, a 35-yarder, and Dante Selby (Philadelphia, PA) added a touchdown on the possession after that.

Lackawanna College is currently scheduled to play at home on Saturday, October 22nd, at Scranton's Memorial Stadium, but there is a chance the opponent and time may change. Pay attention to lackawannafalcons.com for further scheduling updates.
