Bethlehem, PA - Tuesday afternoon the Lackawanna College Falcons had their hitting shoes on as they swept its twin-bill against Northampton Community College. The Falcons outscored the Spartans 12-2 in the first game and 12-8 in the nightcap.

In the opener Gianna Telesco was an RBI machine driving in four runs on three hits. Telesco drove in two runs on a single in the first inning and slammed a two-run home run in the fifth.  Although Telesco contributed the team's only multi-hit performance four others recorded extra-base hits.  All four two-baggers were productive. Gabby Vuocolo doubled and scored in the second inning, Lynda Lawrence drove in a run with a two-bagger in the third, Morgan Mesaris thumped a solo homer in the fourth, and Kamden Miller doubled and scored in the fifth.

Meghan Fritz earned the win. The righty went three innings, allowing no runs on no hits, striking out six, and walking no one. Tess Ruschman recorded the last six outs of the game.

In the second game, Telesco continued her hot hitting with three more hits in four at-bats. Telesco drove in two runs with a triple in the third and singled in another run in the seventh. The Falcons trailed the contest until they scored five unearned runs in the fifth to give them a three-run lead. A lead that they would not relinquish for the rest of the game. Stephanie Kibbe received credit for the victory. Kibbe went four and a third innings allowing three runs on three hits, striking out one and issuing no walks.
In addition to Telesco's triple, Tess Ruschman doubled and scored in the seventh while Makenzie Rose drove in a run with a double in the same inning.
