SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna College Athletics is pleased to announce that Lackawanna College softball was well-represented in the annual Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete lists for the 2025-2026 academic year, with 12 Falcons earning their place among the nearly 9,000 student-athletes honored, according to a press release on Wednesday afternoon.

Easton/NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) annually honors the top teams across all divisions of collegiate softball, from all three NCAA cohorts to both the NJCAA, NAIA, and other four-year academic institutions. To be honored, individuals needed to record a 3.5 GPA or better, and 8,852 student-athletes across all the collegiate divisions accomplished that feat.

As a team, Lackawanna College posted a 3.45 GPA last season, which ranks them inside the top 50 across all junior college squads.

Last season, Lackawanna College set a program record in its final season of junior college competition, winning 41 games, the most for the Falcons in a single season. The Falcons will now turn their attention to getting ready for four-year competition and a full PSAC schedule, as Lackawanna College athletics begins its transition to become a member of the NCAA, Division II, as well as a member of the PSAC.

Paris Junior College was the top team across all collegiate divisions, earning a 3.942 team GPA. Paris JC was the only team to earn a GPA higher than 3.9 on the Easton/NFCA lists. The top ten schools in GPA were:
