SCRANTON, Pa. – The historic Lackawanna College softball season may have ended prematurely, but the Falcons still have plenty to celebrate, placing seven players on the 2026 All-Region XIX squads announced on Wednesday afternoon by the Region XIX softball committee.

First-team selections were infielder
Ayahna Fleisher (Duncannon, PA) and outfielder
Riley Knott (Clarks Summit, PA). Lackawanna put another five players on the second-team, including pitcher
Mekenzie Revere (Ansonia, CT), infielder
Mackenzie Adolfson (Throop, PA), outfielder
Mia Scalese (Moscow, PA), catcher
Laniah Tasker, and utility player
Kyleah Edwards (Taylor, PA).

Lackawanna College's seven selections were the most amongst Division II teams, with Mercer County CC earning six selections, and Delaware Tech CC placing five student-athletes on the squads.

Fleisher led the Falcons in several statistical categories and was one of the most efficient players in all of Region XIX this past season. Fleisher led the entire region in total hits (90), was third in runs (76), finished fourth in batting average (.542) and on-base percentage (.608), was tied for fifth in doubles (18), and was sixth in RBIs (59). Fleisher stole 22 bases and had 134 total bases, posting a 1.415 OPS and leading the team with a .807 slugging percentage. She had 29 games with more than two hits this season.

Knott is second in all of Region XIX with 80 RBIs this season. She had 54 runs scored, 17 doubles, five triples, and six homers. Knott was a .454 hitter this season, posting a 1.241 OPS and stealing seven bases on the year. Knott was second on the team with 74 total hits this year, and she had 28 extra-base hits, tied with Fleisher for first on the team. Knott had 24 multi-hit games this past season.

As a pitcher this season, Revere was 16-6 in 24 appearances, posting a 2.84 ERA. Revere's 143 strikeouts were second in all of the region, first in Division II. In 118.1 innings, Revere allowed 77 runs, 48 earned, on 99 hits. Revere had five games with double digit strikeouts, posting a career-high 15 punchouts against Finger Lakes CC on March 24
th.

Adolfson hit .387 this season, posting 20 doubles, third in all the region. Adolfson hit five home runs, drove in 39 RBIs, and drew 25 walks, tied for first on the team. "Mack" scored 49 runs and posted a 1.130 OPS on the season. Adolfson had 16 games with two or more hits this season.

Scalese was a .372 hitter this season, scoring 32 runs and driving in 41 more, hitting five doubles and three triples this season. Mia had 12 games with two or more hits this year, and also went 9-0 in 14 appearances in the pitching circle, posting a 2.38 ERA. She struck out 63 batters in 56 innings, allowing 28 runs, 19 earned, on 57 hits.

Tasker was a .399 hitter this season, posting 63 hits, third on the squad, and scoring 45 runs. Laniah hit 14 doubles and had 46 RBIs. She also drew 25 walks, tied with Adolfson for first on the team. She had 18 multi-hit games this year, and crossed the 100-hit barrier for her career at Lackawanna College. Tasker was fourth in the region with four runners caught stealing.

Edwards was a .415 hitter this past season, posting a 1.011 OPS and scoring 55 runs, second on the team. Kyleah had 38 RBIs and a .500 OBP, while stealing seven bases and drawing 23 walks this season. She also had eight doubles and a homer.

Lackawanna College softball set a school-record this season with 41 victories, and fell in dramatic fashion in the region playoffs to end its junior college competition schedule. Next season, Lackawanna College will compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and against four-year schools.
