SCRANTON, Pa. – In their final season of two-year competition in the NJCAA, five separate Lackawanna College athletics teams and 52 total student-athletes were amongst those cited for honors by the NJCAA in its 2025-2026 NJCAA All-Academic Teams, announced on Thursday afternoon.
 
1,446 different teams earned collective G.P.A.'s of 3.00 or better across all three NJCAA classifications during the 2025-2026 scholastic year. Individually, 13,723 student-athletes across the NJCAA were named as All-Academic, earning G.P.A.'s of 3.60 or higher.
 
Lackawanna College athletics had five teams earn distinction amongst the top-academic teams in the NJCAA: Baseball, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Softball, and Women's Volleyball.
 
Women's volleyball had the best finish amongst Lackawanna College teams, posting a 3.66 team G.P.A. for 2025-2026, ranking 24^th amongst all women's volleyball teams across the NJCAA. Women's basketball pulled a 3.52 team G.P.A., landing the Falcons 37^th amongst NJCAA WBB squads. Softball had a 3.45 G.P.A., good for just inside the top 100 schools across the country, while baseball posted a 3.25 G.P.A. and women's soccer posted a 3.21 G.P.A. Women's soccer finished 78^th across the country, while baseball was just outside the top 100 baseball teams.
 
For individual All-Academic Honors, student-athletes had to earn G.P.A.'s of 3.60 or better to qualify. A perfect 4.00 would earn a student-athlete a spot on the first team, while anywhere from a 3.80 to a 3.99 earned the student-athlete a second team nod, and a 3.60 to a 3.79 put them on the third team.
 
Lackawanna College had 26 student-athletes earn second-team All-Academic recognition, while another 26 students earned third-team honors. Every eligible varsity sport earned at least one student-athlete on the academic rolls, with baseball leading the charge at 14 student-athletes. Women's volleyball, softball, and football each had eight, while men's basketball posted five.
