NEWARK, Del. – Lackawanna College women's basketball had a tough shooting afternoon on the road, as the Falcons fell 84-40 against Delaware Tech CC in a Region XIX DII contest in Delaware on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Falcons (7-18, 1-12) hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, but had a seven-point second quarter and a nine-point fourth, while the home side had three quarters of 20 or more points.
 
Delaware Tech (9-17, 3-10) led 26-14 after one, 40-21 after two, and then scored 44 points in the second half to put distance between themselves and Lackawanna, avenging an earlier loss this season.
 
Canyah Randle (Scranton, PA) and Alania Ortiz (Allentown, PA) each had 13 points, while Sophia Summa (Dunmore, PA) added ten points.
 
The Falcons have now lost eight-straight games and will look to get back in the win column with a Region XIX DII road contest on Tuesday, February 17^th. Lackawanna will travel to take on Essex County College in Newark, NJ. Tip is set for 5:00pm ET, and the game is the first of a doubleheader, with the men's teams playing afterwards at 7:00pm ET.
