WEST WINDSOR TWP., NJ – Lackawanna College women's basketball team was outpaced and out gunned all night, as #14 Mercer County CC blew past the Falcons, 106-30, on Tuesday evening in a Region XIX DII contest on Howie Landa court at Mercer County CC.
 
The Falcons (7-16, 1-12) collapsed under an offensive onslaught from the Mustangs (20-3, 12-2), as Evangelina Francisco scored 34 points, 27 coming in the first half alone, and Mercer took a 61-18 into halftime. Maya Alford added 24 points, scoring 17 after halftime, and the Mustangs placed five players in double-figures, all together.
 
Meanwhile, Lackawanna got ten points from Alania Ortiz (Allentown, PA) and nine points from Desireé Nales (Allentown, PA). Sophia Summa (Dunmore, PA) and Canyah Randle (Scranton, PA) each added five points.
 
Lackawanna College has now dropped six-straight games, and they'll look to break the streak with a home contest in region play on Thursday, February 12^th, as the Falcons are set to host Raritan Valley CC. Tip is set for 5:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium, and the game is the first of a doubleheader, with the men's teams following at 7:00pm ET.
