RANDOLPH, NJ – Lackawanna College women's basketball overcame a sluggish first quarter to pick up a second-straight victory, knocking off County College of Morris on the road, 63-45, in Region XIX DII competition on Tuesday night in New Jersey.

The Falcons (6-10, 3-6) were behind to winless Morris (0-8, 0-8) after one quarter of play, struggling to score the ball and playing sloppy offense. The second quarter saw the Falcons recover on offense, as
Sophia Summa (Dunmore, PA) scored eight and
Abbie Larson (Olyphant, PA) added six in the quarter to help the Falcons score 20 and take a 29-23 lead into halftime.

The Falcons scored another 20 points in the third, getting six apiece from Summa and
Canyah Randle (Scranton, PA), lengthening their advantage to 49-35 after three quarters, then coasting to victory through the fourth quarter.

Summa led the Falcons with 17 points, while Randle scored 13, nine in the second half.
Alania Ortiz (Allentown, PA) scored nine points to help the cause.

Lackawanna will try to get a third-straight victory this coming Thursday, January 22
nd, when the Falcons are set to host the SUNY Orange Colts. Tip-off is set for 5:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium. It'll be the first game of a doubleheader, with the men's teams playing at 7:00pm ET.
