SCRANTON, Pa. -- The thirteenth Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College women's basketball student-athlete, Hailey Schumaker (Center Valley, PA)!

Hailey earned a first-place finish during Sunday's Muhlenberg Novice Tournament, winning her pool at 180 lbs. with a 3-0 performance and helping the Falcons finish sixth overall. Schumaker was dominant in her pool, defeating two opponents by 10-0 tech fall victories, and then pinning her final opponent in just 33 seconds. Schumaker is now 6-5 overall this season, and 3-0 wrestling at 180. She is a two-sport athlete, stepping up to play soccer earlier this fall.

Hailey is a first-year student-athlete at Lackawanna College and she will be a guest on a future episode of Falcons Corner, airing every Wednesday at 10am ET at lackawannafalcons.com/youtube.

Women's wrestling is back in action with a dual at SUNY Onondaga on Saturday, December 13th. The dual will coincide with the men's teams, stepping off at 1:00pm ET in Syracuse, NY.
