SCRANTON, Pa. – The stifling defense from the #8 Harcum College Bears proved to be too much for Lackawanna College women's basketball, as the Falcons fell 86-29 in a Region XIX Division II contest on Thursday night inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.

The Falcons (3-6, 2-2) were held to single-digits in every quarter and shot just 19% for the game (10-for-52), while the Bears (8-1, 4-0) forced 26 turnovers and outscored the Falcons 25-3 on points off turnovers while hitting ten three-point shots.

Sofia Vitucci led all scorers with 27 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals, while Tayla Barros had 17 points and six steals. Wilkes-Barre native
E'ternity Aiken had seven points and ten boards against her former squad.

The Falcons were led by
Alania Ortiz (Allentown, PA), who had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Ali Johns (North Wales, PA) had seven points in her first game in three weeks.

Lackawanna College will look to rebound with another Region XIX DII contest coming on Saturday, December 6
th, when the Falcons are set to host the Middlesex College Colts. Tip is set for 1:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium, and the game will be the first of a doubleheader, with the men's teams following at 3:00pm ET.
