SCRANTON, Pa. -- The ninth Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College women's volleyball student-athlete, Ciona Braziel (Forth Worth, TX)!

Ciona had 12 kills, a pair of aces, and two block assists in the five-set thriller over Del Tech on Saturday, then posted three kills and an ace against Monroe in the championship match. C was big up front for the Falcons against DTCC, coming up with a stretch where she had a hand in three straight points (2 kills and a stuff). She also had solo block later in the match. Ciona was named to the all-tournament team, alongside Delianie Del Bois. Ciona will finish the year with 99 kills, third on the team, averaging just over two kills per set. she had 13 aces and hit .199 on the season. Braziel finishes the year with a team-best 23 blocks, including eight solo blocks and 15 assists.

Lackawanna College volleyball finished its season with ten plus wins for a third straight year, falling in the Region XIX DII championship game to Monroe this past Saturday.
