HERKIMER, NY – Lackawanna College women's basketball took the lead and never looked back, holding off the Herkimer CC Generals throughout Saturday afternoon's non-region contest for the 76-58 victory on the road.
 
The Falcons (10-4) were led by Desiree White (Carlisle, PA) and her game-high 28 points, while Ania Crocker (Freeport, NY) and both Salote Franklin and Saraiah Franklin (Philadelphia, PA) all put up 13 points.
 
The Generals (8-2), the #14 Division III team in the nation, were led by Kavashia Archie's 22 points.
 
Lackawanna College will return home for Region XIX Division II play on Tuesday, January 14^th, when the Falcons will host the Essex County College Wolverines. Lackawanna beat Essex 113-76 in the first meeting back on November 19^th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium. It'll be the first game of a doubleheader, with the men's teams following after the conclusion of the women's contest.
