SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lackawanna College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that 143 Lackawanna College student-athletes have earned either Dean's or President's List distinction from the past Fall 2024 semester.
 
To qualify for Dean's List distinction, a student must maintain at least a 3.2 GPA, with a minimum of nine credit hours. For the President's List, students must hold a 3.5 GPA or better, with a minimum of 24 credit hours, which includes 12 credits during the most recent semester. All-in-all, Lackawanna College had 104 student-athletes make Dean's List, and 39 student-athletes qualified as President's List candidates.
 
The sport with the most President's List honorees was Lackawanna College Esports, which had 12 student-athletes earn distinction. Football was second with six student-athletes on the President's List, followed by baseball, women's basketball, men's soccer, and women's volleyball, all of which had four student-athletes, each, on the President's List.
 
Football led the way with Dean's List honorees, as 25 football student-athletes earned recognition. Baseball was second with 17 Dean's List recipients, and Esports finished third with 15 Dean's List selections. Five other sports, which includes men's and women's basketball, women's soccer, softball, and women's volleyball, all earned seven or more Dean's List honorees.
 
Overall, football had the most student-athletes selected with a combined 31 honorees. Esports finished second with 27 student-athletes earning distinction, and baseball was third with 21 student-athletes making either list.
 
In all, six sports had 10 or more student-athletes make either list, and three other sports had eight or more student-athletes earn distinction in the fall semester.
 
The women's volleyball team had the highest team GPA this semester, putting up a 3.57 for the fall. Women's basketball was second at 3.28, while women's soccer and softball each earned 3.24 for the semester. Men's soccer also went above a 3.0, putting up a 3.16 for fall 2024.

It was another strong semester, academically, for Lackawanna College Athletics, with each sport represented somewhere on either the Dean's or President's Lists, and each sport maintaining a team GPA at 2.44 or higher.
