SCRANTON, Pa. -- Lackawanna College bounced back from a rough shooting performance on Saturday with a much better outing three days later, leading wire-to-wire in a 64-55 triumph over Chesapeake on Tuesday evening inside the Lackawanna College Student Union.

The Falcons (7-5) led by as many as ten in the first half, and the lead swelled to as many as eleven in the second, but the Skipjacks (8-7) continued to make in-roads, cutting the deficit to just one point on two separate occasions. Lackawanna countered by closing hard in the fourth quarter, holding Chesapeake to just 28% in the quarter, while shooting 35% on their own and outscoring the Skipjacks 19-11 in the final quarter. Lackawanna held Chesapeake to just 1-for-17 shooting from three-point range, and scored 16 points off of eleven turnovers.

Lackawanna College was led by Gabrielle Jackson (Darby Twp, PA), who had a game-high 17 points on 6-for-15 shooting, hitting three three-pointers and pulling down six rebounds. Sidney Spence (Bronx, NY) had eleven points and six rebounds off the bench, while Nariyah Turner (Philadelphia, PA) scored ten points and had seven rebounds.
