SCRANTON, Pa. --Â For one half, the Lackawanna College Falcons hung tough with the visiting Chesapeake College Skipjacks, trading blow-for-blow to a 40-all standstill at halftime. But, it was the Falcons who would blink first, as the Skipjacks blistered the nets with 48% shooting from downtown and used a frustrating zone defense to put Lackawanna College away, 82-63, on Tuesday evening inside the Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.

The Falcons (11-4) were a tale of two halves in the match-up with Chesapeake (14-3), matching the hot-shooting Skipjacks in the first half with 57% shooting from the field, but getting outscored 21-6 in the opening ten minutes of the second half, as Chesapeake pulled away and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way. As great as the Falcons were in the first half, they were miserable from the field in the second half, shooting 29% from the field and just 1-for-11 from the three-point line. Meanwhile, Chesapeake shot 48.5% overall, and went 14-for-29 from downtown. The Falcons were outrebounded 41-21.

Aamir Mack (Atlantic City, NJ) led the Falcons in scoring, going for 19 points on 9-for-11 shooting off the bench.
Nasir Brown (Wilmington, DE) added 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting, while
Rahmad Ali (Newark, NJ) scored 12 points and had three rebounds.

Chesapeake had four players in double-figures, with Lamont Powell leading the way at 20 points. DJ Earl had 17 points and seven rebounds, while Izaiah Credle had a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds, and JayShaun Freeman had nine points and seven assists.

Lackawanna College is back to work this Saturday, January 21
st, when they travel to New Rochelle, NY to take on the NJCAA Division I #12 Monroe College Mustangs. The game is set for a 3:00pm ET tip-off inside the Monroe Athletic Complex, and will be the second game of a doubleheader, with the women's teams playing first at 1:00pm ET.
