SCRANTON, Pa. --Â A stellar first half wasn't enough for Lackawanna College, as the visiting Essex County College Wolverines shot 54% from the field, including a blistering 55% in a second half that saw them put up 57 points en route to a 98-80 win over Lackawanna on Tuesday evening inside the Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
Â
The Falcons (4-2, 0-1) were led by Nasir Brown (Wilmington, DE), who scored his season-high of 25 points, 17 of which came in a first half where the Falcons shot 54% from the field and held a lead as high as eleven, causing havoc and turnovers early against the Wolverines. Essex (4-3, 2-0) battled back, thanks to its three-point shooting, cutting it to five at the break, and then exploded in the second half, scoring at will and forcing the Falcons to play on the back-foot for most of the second half.
Â
