Box Score 11/17/22

BRYN MAWR, Pa. -- Lackawanna College women's basketball fought back from a halftime deficit to close within a bucket in the third quarter, but the Harcum Bears clicked into another gear, and pulled away for a 73-55 victory in the Region XIX opener for the Falcons on Thursday night in Bryn Mawr, PA.
 
The Falcons (2-4, 0-1) struggled early with Harcum, falling behind by double-digits in the first half, but fought back with a good run to start the third, keeping the Bears in check and closing within a 41-38 margin midway through the third. Ultimately, Harcum managed to pull away thanks to its size and shooting, while the Falcons continued to struggle from deep, and couldn't quite keep up with the length of the Bears.
 
Nya Jackson (Harrisburg, PA) had a team-high 16 points, while Sidney Spence (Bronx, NY) had 12 points for the Falcons. Cianna Roberts (Brooklyn, NY) added six points, including the lone three-pointer for the Falcons on the night.
 
Lackawanna College will look to turn things around in Region XIX play on Tuesday, November 22^nd, when they open their home slate for the year with a match-up against Essex County College. The game is set for a 5:00pm ET tip-off inside the Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium, and will be the first game of a doubleheader on the evening, with the men's game following at 7:00pm ET.
