Scranton, PA - Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College women's basketball team outdueled Jamestown Community College in a physical slugfest to claim a 95-62Â win. The score was not indicative physical nature of the contest as each team applied a fast break offense and press defense for a majority of the game. The Win improves the Falcons' record to an undefeated 6-0.
The Falcons had six players score in double figures, with two recording double-doubles in points and rebounds. Those three players were Daeja Cromartie with 14 points and 15 rebounds and Briel Herbert with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jayla Lewis missed registering a third double-double by two points, as she ended the game with eight points and 11 rebounds.
The other Lackawanna players with double-digit games were Thays Torres with 18 points, Jamiya Eaddy with 15, Nya Morris with 13, and Gabriel Jackson with 12.
Lackawanna's next game will be played on Thursday when they travel to Cranford, New Jersey, to play interstate rival Union County College.
