Box Score Myrtle Beach, SC - After splitting their first 2 games yesterday in Myrtle Beach, the Lackawanna College Softball Team looked to continue their winning ways, when they faced Mohawk Valley Community College.  This was the 2nd day of the Lady Falcons trip to Myrtle Beach and Coach Pittsman wanted his team to carry the momentum into the day.  After a dominating performance in Game 1, Mia Pawelski was once again back on the mound for the start.  

Lackawanna started the scoring off in the 2nd inning when Felicia Saar singled to center field, driving Gianna Telesco across the plate for a 1-0 lead.  The Lady Falcons would score again, in the bottom of the 3rd, when Telesco hit an RBI double, scoring Gabrielle Vuocolo.  In the bottom of the 5th, Lackawanna doubled up the score when Ashley Bruno scored on a passed ball, which was followed by Vuocolo scoring again, this time on a Mia Pawelski single to center field.  That is all the scoring Pawelski needed, as she turned in another dominating performance on the mound.  She pitched a complete game, shutting out Mohawk Valley, while only giving up 2 hits and striking out 7.  In 2 games, she has struck out 22 batters and now has a 2-0 record to start the season.

The Lady Falcons are back in action tomorrow when they play SUNY-Adirondack at 9:00am and then Paul D Camp Community College at 11:00am.  Stay tuned to @falconssports on twitter for updates on those games.
