Rocket League sweeps Carl Sandburg College, 3-0

Scranton, PA - The Lackawanna College Esports Rocket League team faced Carl Sandburg College in a NJCAAE match Tuesday afternoon.  This was the Falcons' first game since participating in the Empire State Winter Games and they were anxious to get back to their winning ways.  From the start, Lackawanna took control of the match and showed they were not going to let Carl Sandburg get any easy shots.  Cross, Dom and Keenan have been showing constant improvement as a team and it was on full display today.  On offense, the Falcons put pressure on the goal and were able to connect on 6 shots to win the first round, by a score of 6-2.  In the second round, Lackawanna's defense shut out Carl Sandburg, while scoring 4 goals of their own, to take a 2-0 match lead.  The third round would be the last round the Falcons would need, as they dominated again on offense, scoring 4 more goals.  Carl Sandburg was able to put 1 in the back of the net, but that is all they could do, as Lackawanna won 4-1, to sweep the overall match, by a final score of 3-0.

With the win, the Falcons move to 1-0 in the NJCAAE Rocket League Spring Season.  For scheduling information about their next game, stay tuned to social media.
