Box Score Randolph, NJ – The Lackawanna College Women's Basketball team entered this week as the #7 ranked team in the latest NJCAA National Poll and on Tuesday traveled to County College of Morris for a pre-thanksgiving Region XIX match-up. The Falcons were coming off a home win last week and were looking to go into the holiday break on a 4 game winning streak.
At the start of the first half, Lackawanna's offense dominated the game.
Keyanah Price picked up right where she left off last week, by scoring 6 points in the 1
st quarter, while
Miliesha Troche and
Briaunna McCullough each converted on 3 pointers. Troche added another 3 in the 2
nd quarter and
Allanah Bradford would add one of her own, to put the Lady Falcons up 40-19, going into the half.
As the 2
nd half began, Lackawanna was determined to come out and continue its momentum on the offensive side of the ball.
Ciaira Loyd and
Briaunna McCullough each led the team with 5 points in the 3
rd quarter and they would add another 4 points each in the 4
th. While they were able to outscore CC of M, the Lady Falcons were also very active on the offensive boards.
Jasmine Lewis led the way with 7 offensive boards, followed by
Kiana Williams with 6 and
Keyanah Price with 5. Price also led Lackawanna with 5 defensive rebounds, for a total of 10 on the night.
As the buzzer sounded, the Lady Falcons moved to 5-1, 3-0 on the season, with a 77-42 win over the Lady Titans.
Briaunna McCullough led all Lackawanna scorers with 14 points followed by
Ciaira Loyd, who added 13 points. Lackawanna is off until Tuesday, December 3rd when they travel to Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
