The Warriors Scored Four First Half Goals To Set The Pace Against The Falcons

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Four first-half goals helped pace East Stroudsburg University past Lackawanna College women's soccer on Wednesday evening, as the Falcons fell 6-0 to the Warriors at Eiler-Martin Stadium in a first-ever match-up between the two sides.
 
The Falcons (1-7-0) were under constant pressure throughout Wednesday night, as East Stroudsburg (4-3-1) had a 35-to-1 shot advantage, which included 23 shots in the first half, along with eight corner kicks. ESU scored two goals in the 13th and 16th minutes, then added a third in the 27th minute and a fourth in the 37th. The Warriors added two more goals in the second half.
 
Keeper Sophia Arvelo (Allentown, PA) made eleven saves for the Falcons. Evangelina Theodore (York, PA) recorded the only shot for the Falcons, coming in the second half.
 
Lackawanna College women's soccer is back to action on Saturday, September 26th, when the Falcons are set to host #4 West Chester University. Kick is set for 1:00pm ET at Schautz Stadium in Dunmore.
