BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Lackawanna College men's soccer couldn't keep defending, and Bloomsburg scored three goals in the second half of a 4-0 loss for the Falcons on Wednesday night at Steph Pettit Stadium on the campus at Bloomsburg in a first-ever match-up between the two sides.
 
The Falcons (0-4-2) surrendered an early goal, as Bloom scored in the eleventh minute, but the Falcons managed to defend well and even outshot the Huskies, 5-4, in the first half. However, Bloomsburg (4-2-1) turned up the heat in the second half, outshooting the Falcons 12-3 and putting five shots on target, three finding a way through, as the Huskies found goals in the 63^rd, 71^st, and 89^th minutes.
 
Bloomsburg had nine corners to three for the Falcons, while outshooting the Falcons 16-8 overall.
 
Jozsef Mark Szilagyi (Budapest, Hungary) had three shots to lead the team, two on target, while Wisdom Afrani (Accra, Ghana), Byron McNeil (Springfield, IL), Michael Hoy (Mechanicsburg, PA), Adrian Argote (Leonardtown, MD), and Tito Tokunboh-Salako (Columbia, MD) all recorded one shot. Keeper Rowin Thomas (Abilene, TX) had three saves.
 
Lackawanna College is back to action on Saturday, September 19^th, when the Falcons travel to take on Shepherd University for their first-ever match-up with the Rams. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm ET at the Shepherd Soccer Complex in Shepherdstown, WV, and the game is the second in a doubleheader, with the women's teams playing first at 1:00pm ET.
