SCRANTON, Pa. -- The first Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2026-2027 school year is Lackawanna College women's volleyball student-athlete Hailey Buck (Johnstown, PA)!

Hailey started in her first-ever collegiate volleyball appearance this past Saturday for the Falcons against Pace University. Despite the tough result, Hailey played well as the libero, getting 13 digs to lead the team and making diving stops all over the floor. Hailey had two receiving errors in 28 receptions on serve for the Falcons.

Buck is a first-year student-athlete, majoring in Cardiac Sonography. Hailey was a two-sport athlete at Richland HS, where she played volleyball and softball. She won the 2024 PIAA District 6 championship with her team in 2024.

The Falcons are back to action on Tuesday, September 1st, with a home contest against Monroe University. First serve is set for 6:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
