SCRANTON, Pa. -- The thirty-second and final Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College baseball student-athlete
Sean Moore (Philadelphia, PA)!
Sean was a combined 8-for-16 (.500) in four games last weekend at the region tournament, scoring four runs and driving in eight more for the Falcons to help them go 2-2 and make it to the championship round. Moore was one of just two Falcons to post hits in every game on the weekend. He was 1-for-4 with two runs in the 7-6 loss to Sussex on Thursday, scoring on a
Danny Stickney (Secane, PA) double in the second inning, then on a
Mark Zuppo (Garnet Valley, PA) double in the fifth. Against Raritan later that afternoon, Moore was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and another run scored, hitting a two-run single in the first inning and coming home to score later in the inning, then driving in another run with a single in the fourth inning for the Falcons. On Friday, against Sussex, Moore was 2-for-4 with two more RBIs, getting an RBI groundout in the first inning, followed by a sac fly in the sixth to help the Falcons win 13-4. Against Mercer, he went all-out, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs, a double, and a run scored in a losing effort. Moore scored on an RBI single from
Hunter Austra (Larksville, PA) in the first inning as the Falcons built a 6-0 lead, then singled in a run in the sixth to make it 9-9. Later, with his team down 13-9, Moore doubled to score two runs and pull the Falcons within 13-11, their last runs of the season. Sean finishes the year with a .347 batting average, second on the team, and 51 total hits, third on the squad. His 41 RBIs are tied for third on the team, and his eleven doubles are second this year. He had a 1.089 OPS during the tournament.
Moore is a first-year student-athlete at Lackawanna College, majoring in Business Administration.
Moore's nomination marks the end of the Athlete of the Week program for the 2025-2026 season. In all, 32 student-athletes were honored across 34 weeks of competition, with two student-athletes winning multiple times:
Ayahna Fleisher (Duncannon, PA) from Lackawanna softball and
Sophia Summa (Dunmore, PA) from Lackawanna women's basketball.
