SCRANTON, Pa. -- The twenty-fifth Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2025-2026 school year is Lackawanna College softball student-athlete, Riley Knott (Clarks Summit, PA)!

Riley had a solid week for the Falcons, going a combined 10-for-21 (.476) in eight games last week, helping the Falcons go 5-3 in Myrtle Beach. Knott had two doubles and one triple, while driving in six runs and scoring seven of her own. She also had eleven putouts and two assists in the outfield, including playing shortstop against Oakton, not committing an error.  Knott record a hit in all eight games last week, and had three multi-hit games. She was 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs, along with two doubles, in the win against Morton College on 3/19. She went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs, along with a triple, in the win against Oakton on 3/20. Knott posted a 1.205 OPS for the week, including a .538 OBP, getting on base a lot with four walks on top of her hits. For the year, Knott is .457 at the plate this year, second on the squad. She has 16 runs scored, tied for second on the squad, and has 21 hits, third on the team. Knott's 13 RBIs this year is tied for second on the Falcons. Her ten walks are first on the team. She has a 1.099 OPS, boosted by .534  OBP, second on the team. She also has four stolen bases this year.

Knott is a first-year student-athlete at Lackawanna College, and she's studying Criminal Justice. She will be a guest on a future episode of Falcons Corner, airing every Wednesday at 10am ET at lackawannafalcons.com/youtube.

The Falcons are back home and are set to take on the Finger Lakes CC on Tuesday, March 24th, in a doubleheader at Scranton HS.
