SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna men's wrestling won the final six bouts, including a pair of forfeits, on its way to a 39-9 victory at home against Northampton CC on Tuesday evening inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
 
The Falcons (3-6) trailed the visitors through the first four bouts, as Northampton (1-4) held a 9-6 lead thanks to wins at 141 and 149, but Lackawanna quickly gained control the rest of the way.
 
At 157, Connor Ondek (Scranton, PA) was leading late in the first period when an injury forced his opponent from Northampton to forfeit, putting the Falcons up 12-9. Richard Leslie (Peckville, PA) scored a big fall 90 seconds into his match at 165 to put the Falcons up 18-9, then Malik Nelson (Bloomfield, NJ) picked up a much-needed win at 174 with a decision to make it 21-9.
 
A pair of forfeits made it 33-9 Falcons heading into the final bout, where Brodie Daugherty (Manheim, PA) kept his unbeaten record intact with a victory by fall at 2:18 in the heavyweight bout. He is now 17-0 on the year.
 
Lackawanna College has one more regular season bout this season, taking on Jamestown CC and Utica University in tri-match action on Saturday, February 7^th. The event is set for a 12:00pm ET start inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
