Detroit, MI - Lackawanna College Football Dominates in 83–0 Victory Over Detroit Community Christian College
The Lackawanna College Falcons delivered a statement win on Saturday, overwhelming Detroit Community Christian College with a commanding 83–0 shutout at home. The Falcons showcased their depth, discipline, and dominance in all three phases of the game.
The Falcons stormed to a 49–0 halftime lead, punctuated by a pick-six from Wesley Conover to end the second quarter. The offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Joseph "JoJo" Bivins, who found the end zone three times on the ground.
Quarterback Jacob Tiberi connected for two touchdown passes—one to Carmelo Taylor and a 61-yard strike to Christian Harrison—while Jalen Fletcher added a rushing touchdown to round out the scoring barrage.
Defensively, Lackawanna was relentless, forcing eight turnovers, including six interceptions—two returned for touchdowns—and two fumble recoveries. The defensive unit consistently disrupted Detroit's rhythm, setting the tone early and never letting up.
The Falcons improve their record to 2-0 and continue to build momentum as they head to Milledgeville, GA next weekend to take on Georgia Military.
