Emmalee Mowery Became The Sixth-Ever Lackawanna Softball Player Named As An NJCAA All-American

6/4/25

SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna College sophomore student-athlete Emmalee Mowery (Mechanicsburg, PA) joined some elite company in Lackawanna softball history, as she was named as 2025 NJCAA Division II Softball All-American for her outstanding season, the NJCAA Softball Committee announced this week.

Mowery is just the sixth Lackawanna College softball player to be named as an All-American, and she is the first since Colleen Cwalina in 2018. Mowery was named to the third team, and she was the only All-American chosen from Region XIX.

Emmalee finished 2025 with a .440 batting average through 52 games and 70 total hits, placing her fourth in all of Region XIX, and third amongst Division II players. She also was fourth in the region in runs scored (61) and her 42 RBIs were tied for ninth in the region. Mowery led the region with 35 walks this season. Her 70 hits were tops on the Falcons this year, and she had team-highs in OPS (1.135), slugging (.597), OBP (.538), runs (61), doubles (16), XBHs (20), total bases (95), walks (35) and stolen bases (21). She had 23 multi-hit games and finished the season on a ten-game hitting streak. She finished the season with 115 putouts and just two errors in center field, posting .983 fielding percentage on the year.

She, alongside teammate Jillian Heimberger (Unionville, PA), earned a first-team All-Region XIX nod. Mia Scalese (Moscow, PA) was the third Falcon to earn an all-region selection, making the second team.

Heimberger was just named to the NFCA All-Region Division II squad last week, which you can read about HERE.
