5/23/25
SCRANTON, Pa. – The 2025 fall football schedule has been confirmed for Lackawanna College, as the Falcons will take the field for the 33
rd time in search of that elusive NJCAA national championship.
The road to that potential title will not have a ton of friendly confines along the way, as the Falcons will play a ten-game regular season schedule with just four home games. Along the way, the Falcons will play a national semi-finalist from last year twice, a defending national champion from Division III, and a team that always situates itself inside the top five every year.
After a scrimmage with the United States Military Academy Prep school in late August, the Falcons officially kick off the 2025 season with a home game against Region XIX rival Sussex County CC at PenFed Field at Scranton's Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 6
th. It will be the first of two games between the Falcons and the Skylanders, as the two sides will square off again in New Jersey on October 18
th.
After the opener, the Falcons will hit the road for three-straight road games. Up first will be a first-ever meeting between Lackawanna College and Detroit Christian CC on September 13
th in the Wolverine State. The next weekend, the Falcons will make their annual mid-September trip to Milledgeville, GA to take on the Georgia Military College Bulldogs, fresh off an NJCAA Division I playoff appearance last year. That will kick at 1:00pm ET on Saturday, September 20
th. It will be the first of two games between the two teams, with the Falcons hosting GMC in November.
The third game on the road trip swing will be a trip out west to the Beehive State to face perennial top-five threat and a relatively new rival for the Falcons, the Snow College Badgers. That game is set for Saturday, September 27
th, in Ephraim, Utah.
Lackawanna College finally returns home on Saturday, October 4
th, as the Falcons face their old Northeast Football Conference rival, Monroe University, in Scranton, for a 4:00pm ET kickoff. The Mustangs and the Falcons will meet again a month later in New Rochelle for a second time.
After the home game with Monroe, the Falcons hit the road again, this time on a short-drive to West Point to face Army Prep on Friday, October 10
th. It will be the first of three games on the road again for Lackawanna, as the Falcons will also go to Sussex on 10/18 and then Monroe on 11/1, with a bye week in between for good measure.
The Falcons will host Georgia Military on November 8
th for their second match-up of the year, and then they'll close out the regular season with a home finale against the College of DuPage, the multi-time defending Division III national champions out of Illinois. It will be the first meeting between the Falcons and the Chapparals since 2017, and the first time since 2016 that DuPage will make the trek to Scranton.
The Falcons are off for the summer, but will return for their summer camp and workouts starting the first week of August, ramping up towards the beginning of the 2025 campaign.
