SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lackawanna College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that 146 Lackawanna College student-athletes have earned either Dean's or President's List distinction from the past Spring 2025 semester.
 
To qualify for Dean's List distinction, a student must maintain at least a 3.2 GPA, with a minimum of nine credit hours. For the President's List, students must hold a 3.5 GPA or better, with a minimum of 24 credit hours, which includes 12 credits during the most recent semester. All-in-all, Lackawanna College had 82 student-athletes make Dean's List, and 64 student-athletes qualified as President's List candidates.


The sport with the most President's List honorees was Lackawanna College Baseball, which had 14 student-athletes earn distinction. Esports was second with 12 student-athletes on the President's List, followed by softball, football, women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's soccer, and men's soccer, all of which had four student-athletes, each, on the President's List. Men's basketball, along with men's and women's wrestling, also had student-athletes earn President's List distinction.
 
Football led the way with Dean's List honorees, as 41 football student-athletes earned recognition. Baseball was second with 13 Dean's List recipients, and Esports finished third with 11 Dean's List selections. Six other sports, which includes men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, softball, and women's volleyball, all had student-athletes earn Dean's List distinction.
 
Overall, football had the most student-athletes selected with a combined 47 honorees. Baseball finished second with 27 student-athletes earning distinction, and Esports was third with 23 student-athletes making either list.
 
In all, four sports had 10 or more student-athletes make either list, and five other sports had six or more student-athletes earn distinction in the fall semester.
 
The softball team had the highest team GPA this semester, putting up a 3.45 for the spring. Women's volleyball was second at 3.40, while men's soccer posted a 3.33 for the semester. Baseball, women's soccer, and women's wrestling all posted team GPA's of 3.0 or higher.
 
It was another strong semester, academically, for Lackawanna College Athletics, with each sport represented somewhere on either the Dean's or President's Lists, and the cumulative GPA of the team programs at a 2.97 for the Spring 2025 semester.
