#12: First-Team All-Region Selections For MBB And WBB
Both Lackawanna College men's and women's basketball had oustanding players to celebrate during the 2024-2025 season, as each side earned a 1st Team All-Region XIX nod.

On the women's side, Salote Franklin (Philadelphia, PA) earned a first-team nod in her first and only year of action. Franklin led the Falcons in scoring throughout 2024-2025, averaging 16.7 points per game and 12.7 rebounds per contest entering the region playoffs. Her scoring average was good for third in Division II, and eighth in the region overall. Franklin led Division II in rebounding all season. Heading into the playoffs, she shot 46.2% from the floor and was a 66.7% free throw shooter. Franklin led the Falcons both in attempts (114) and makes (76). She has also hit 17 three-pointers on the year. In the regular season, Franklin had 54 steals, tied for first on the team, and led the Falcons with 41 blocks. Salote was also tied for third on the team with 59 assists in the regular season. She had 30 points in the season-opening victory against CCBC Catonsville, shooting 13-for-21 from the floor, while pulling down eight rebounds. She set a season-high for rebounds with 23 boards and 28 points in the win against Salem in December. Salote was 15-for-16 from the free throw line in the contest, going 8-for-8 in the fourth quarter alone, to help secure the win. Salote scored double-figures in 22 games during the 2024-2025 season and she had 16 double-doubles. She set a season-high with eight assists in the win against Essex in November, where she also had 14 points and ten boards. Franklin set her season-high in steals in the win against Orange in January last season, securing seven steals, while also putting up 22 points and 20 rebounds. After the playoff loss to Harcum, Franklin ended her year with 414 points (16.6 ppg), 314 rebounds (12.6 rpg), 60 assists, 55 steals, and 42 blocks. She shot 45.8% on the season and started all 25 games for the Falcons. Salote's rebounding total put her at eighth all-time in Lackawanna College single-season history.

Meanwhile, Evan Laybourn-Boddie (Scranton, PA) was a first-team selection on the men's side. The first-year guard scored 503 points in the regular season, averaging 17.9 points per game, fifth in Division II and 14th in the entire region.
