WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – For the first time in years, Lackawanna College had women's wrestling competition, as the Falcons took to the mats for some exhibition competition at Wilkes University on Saturday morning against the Colonels and visiting Misericordia University at the Marts Center.
 
The Falcons took some losses on the day, but Haylee Fessler picked up a win against Kailey Remish from Misericordia at 145 lbs., winning via fall at 2:13 in the first period. Fessler finished 1-2 on the day, dropping her other two matches via technical fall to Angel Upright and Alyssa McIntosh from Wilkes.
 
Five other wrestlers competed for the Falcons in the afternoon, four going 0-2 and one dropping out due to injury.
 
Lackawanna College will get back to action on Sunday, November 9^th, with an away dual against Centenary University and Muhlenberg College in Hackettstown, NJ. The wrestling will start at 11:00am ET.
