FB: Falcons Down Dutchmen In Road Win

The Falcons Scored On Their First Five Possessions In A Dominant Victory

10/26/25

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lackawanna College football posted 40 points in the first half and cruised to a 40-14 win against Lebanon Valley JV at Arnold Field on a sunny Sunday afternoon in non-NJCAA play.

Playing their first game in 16 days, the Falcons (4-3) looked crisp on offense in the first half, posting 21 first downs and 229 yards rushing in the first half alone. Lackawanna scored touchdowns on their five offensive possessions, while also scoring a sixth TD on a Victor Holt (Throop, PA) interception return touchdown. The defense held LVC (2-2) to just one first down in the first half, coming on a penalty, and negative total yardage.

Lackawanna started the game with a seven-play drive, highlighted by a pretty pass from Jacob Tiberi (Smyrna, PA) to Kaeon Jenkins (Wayne, NJ) for 28 yards to set the Falcons up at the LVC 12. Tiberi finished the drive on a one-yard run to make it 7-0 less than four minutes into the game.

After LVC pinned the Falcons inside their own ten with an excellent punt, Lackawanna mounted a 16-play drive, getting 62 yards from Joseph Bivins (Brick, NJ) on ten carries. Bivins finished the drive with a two-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0 with 42 seconds to go in the first quarter.

Jalen Fletcher (Bethlehem, PA) capped a seven-play drive with a 33-yard touchdown run to put the Falcons up 21-0 with under ten to go in the half, then a fumble from the Dutchmen set the Falcons up at the LVC 29. Running back Jiri Mills (Lorton, VA) became the fourth different Falcon to score, running in from two yards out to make it 28-0 with 6:20 remaining in the second.

Holt stepped in front of a pass on the left side on the first play of the ensuing drive for LVC, waltzing into the end zone to push the Lackawanna lead out to 34-0 after a missed extra point.

LVC fumbled the next play to start its next drive, giving the Falcons possession at the LVC 27 with 5:57 to go in the half. Mills ripped off a 14-yard run to get the Falcons inside the red zone, but LVC's defense stiffened up and forced a 3rd-and-7 at the LVC 10. Backup quarterback Laivon Balthazar (Perth Amboy, NJ) took the third-down snap, rolled out to his left, and saw nothing but daylight as he strolled to the pylon for the ten-yard score, pushing the Lackawanna advantage to 40-0 heading into halftime.

LVC scored twice in the second half, taking advantage of a running clock and some Lackawanna penalties to hold possession the entire third quarter. LVC had a 13-play drive that went 10:33 and ended with a one-yard run. The Dutchmen then executed a successful onside kick to keep possession for the rest of the quarter, using a 53-yard pass to set up a score early in the fourth quarter to make it 40-14.

Lackawanna was forced to punt on a three-and-out on its first possession of the fourth, but the Falcons got the ball back on an interception from T'Rek Scipio (Pittsburgh, PA) at the Lackawanna 40. Lackawanna looked to be starting a drive on the ground, but a fumble gave the ball back to LVC. Christopher Gill (Bowie, MD) came up with the pick for the Falcons on the next possession, and Lackawanna salted the final minute away to end the game and secure the victory.

Tiberi finished 9-for-14 with 87 yards, playing only four drives. Fletcher led the running backs with 87 yards and a score on just six carries, while Bivins had 62 yards and a touchdown. Colin Burdian (East Stroudsburg, PA) led the Falcons with three catches for 23 yards, while Jenkins had two grabs for 33 yards. Cameron Allen-Jones (Baltimore, MD) had five total tackles, a team-high, while Darell James (Orange, NJ) had 1.5 tackles-for-loss.

The Falcons ran for 255 yards and averaged 6.7 yards per rush, with five different players scoring a touchdown on the ground. LVC had 121 yards of total offense, throwing three interceptions. Lackawanna was 6-for-8 on third down and 4-for-4 in the red zone.

Lackawanna College will get back to work on Saturday, November 1st, with a road contest at Monroe University. Kickoff is set for 4:00pm ET at The Field at the stadium in Mount Vernon, NY. It's the second meeting between the two sides, with the Falcons taking game one back in October, 44-34.
