DUNMORE, Pa. – Rupert Deniz had ten saves, but it was one way traffic all afternoon, as Essex County College beat Lackawanna College men's soccer 14-0 on Saturday afternoon in Region XIX DII play at Schautz Stadium in Dunmore.
 
The Falcons (2-7-0, 0-4-0) managed just four shots, while the Wolverines (8-3-0, 2-2-0) had 22 on target, scoring ten goals in the first 45 minutes.
 
Essex led inside of three minutes, then added four more in a 20-minute stretch that made it 5-0 with eight minutes to play. They'd then score five more in the final eight minutes, including two in the 45^th minute, securing a ten-goal lead at the half.
 
Deniz (Dickinson, ND) did what he could under constant pressure for the Falcons. Lackawanna managed four shots on target, but the Falcons gave up ten corner kicks and 24 shots on goal from the Wolverines.
 
Lackawanna will now await its fate in the Region XIX Division II playoffs, set to get under way on Halloween weekend at Mercer County CC in West Windsor Twp., NJ.
