BROOKLYN, NY – In the shadows of the Brooklyn Cyclone, Lackawanna College baseball rode the Waves from Kingsborough CC to a 20-7 win in seven innings on Wednesday afternoon.

Â

Â
Back-to-back one-out hits put runners on second and third, but a strikeout threatened to end the Falcons rally early. In stepped Baltrusaitis, who cranked a three-run blast to make it 6-2. D'Amico later brought another run home with two on, singling home a run to lengthen the Falcons' lead to 7-2.
Â
In the third, another run scored after Kegerreis ripped a triple with one-out to score Matson. The Falcons brought Kegerreis home when
Aydan McNelly (Sophomore; Limerick, PA) doubled to make it 9-2.
Â
A one-out single in the top of the fourth blew the game wide-open, as
Michael Rickert (Sophomore; Moosic, PA) scored D'Amico. Later, Kegerreis singled with the bases loaded to score another, a hit batter forced another run home, and McNelly hit a two-run single to make it 14-2. A sac fly scored another run, making it 15-2 after 3.5 innings.
Â
Kingsborough got a run on a bases loaded walk, then a wild pitch scored another, but the Falcons still led comfortably at 15-4 after four innings.
Â
In the top of the sixth, Lackawanna put more runs on the board, highlighted by a triple from
Brooks Henderson IV (First Year; Feasterville, PA) that made it 17-4.

Vincent Proietto (Sophomore; Drexel Hill, PA) rounded out the Lackawanna scoring with an RBI single with two outs to score Newhart, making it 20-4, Falcons, into the bottom of the seventh.
Â
In the bottom frame, Kingsborough tried to make one last run. A one-out single, followed by an error and another single, loaded the bases. A strikeout put two away, but a double unloaded the bases to make it 20-7. The Falcons, however, got the inning over on the next batter, getting a fly out to right field to end the game and give Lackawanna a much-needed win.
