SCRANTON, Pa. – The Falcons put four players in double-figures, but costly turnovers and empty possessions in the second half hindered Lackawanna College men's basketball in a close 83-79 loss at home to CCBC Dundalk on Thursday evening in the Lackawanna College Student Union.

Lackawanna (8-15) held a 67-61 lead with under ten minutes to go, but Dundalk (14-9) hit a crucial 9-0 run to take the lead. The Falcons quickly tied on a three-point shot, but Dundalk hit another three to go back up by three, and the Falcons could never get closer the rest of the way. Lackawanna shot 39% from the field, but had eight second-half turnovers, giving up eleven points off those turnovers in the second half. Dundalk shot 43% from the field and outrebounded the Falcons, 50-46.

Lackawanna was led by
Aamir Mack (Sophomore; Atlantic City, NJ), who scored 18 points and had nine rebounds.
Na'Shawn Jones (Sophomore; Paterson, NJ) added 17 points off the bench, while
Jawane Buckner (Sophomore; Wilkes-Barre, PA) and
Daryl Coleman (Sophomore; Allentown, PA) put up twelve and eleven points, respectively.

CCBC Dundalk had three players in double-figures, with Andrew Molina leading the charge with 30 points and eleven boards. Shakur Smith added 19 points and ten rebounds, and Charles Neverdon had 13 points.

Lackawanna has now lost its last five games, and seven of its last eight. The Falcons will look to get back on track with their final home game of the regular season on Saturday, February 10
th, when they are set to host SUNY Rockland CC. It will be Sophomore Day, as the Falcons celebrate their second-year student-athletes. Tip will be at 3:00pm ET, and the game will be the second of a doubleheader, with the Lackawanna women's team playing Salem CC first at 1:00pm ET at the Lackawanna College Student Union.
