BRANCHBURG, NJ – The defending Region XIX champions held Lackawanna men's basketball off from wire-to-wire, running away with a 94-76 win against the Falcons on Tuesday night in Region XIX DII men's basketball action from New Jersey.

The Falcons (6-6, 1-2) got as close as four points late in the first half, and turned a 17-point second half deficit into just a nine-point difference at one point, but the Lions (5-3, 3-0), two-time defending Region XIX champions, continued to hit big shots and set a pace that Lackawanna couldn't match.

Jasier Carter (North Brunswick, NJ) led the way with a season-best 20 points, while
Nick Marabito (Upper Darby, PA) added 13 points off the bench. Raritan's Najee Graham led all scorers with 31 points, leading four Lions in double-figures on the night.

The loss puts Lackawanna in fourth place in the early Region XIX Division II standings. They travel to take on the second-place team, the Middlesex College Colts, on Saturday, December 7
th, at 3:00pm ET. The Colts are #22 in the latest NJCAA Division II men's basketball rankings. The game is the second of a doubleheader, with the women's teams competing first in Edison, NJ at 1:00pm ET.
