HARRISBURG, Pa. – Lackawanna College women's volleyball won the first set, but couldn't keep things rolling through the match, as the Falcons fell on the road at Harrisburg Area CC by a 3-1 score (20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-15) on Tuesday evening inside the HACC gymnasium.
 
The Falcons (15-8, 8-4) took the first set by a 25-20 score, but were undone by the Hawks (16-9, 7-5) who took the remaining three sets to win their sixth match in a row.
 
Lackawanna was led by first-year player Jana Hofmann (Colorado Springs, CO), who had nine kills and four aces. Angelique Fuentes (Miami, FL) had seven kills, while Aryana Girvan (Clarion, PA) had six kills, two aces, four assists, and 30 digs.
 
Lackawanna has now lost four matches in a row, and will look to snap out of its swoon with the final regular season match of the year on Thursday, October 24^th. The Falcons are scheduled to take on the County College of Morris Titans in the final Region XIX DII match of the regular season. The first serve is set for a 6:00pm ET start in Randolph, NJ, on the campus of Morris. A win would keep the Falcons unbeaten in region play heading into the Region XIX DII playoffs, being held on Saturday, November 2^nd, at Lackawanna College.
