BLUE BELL, Pa. – Lackawanna College women's volleyball survived a spirited upset bid from Montgomery County CC on the road to knock off the Mustangs in straight sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-19) in an EPAC match on Wednesday evening in southeastern PA.
Â
The Falcons (11-4, 5-1) were in a back-and-forth first set, and struggled in the second set to stretch their lead. Jana Hofmann (Colorado Springs, CO) with nine kills, while sophomores
Angelique Fuentes (Miami, FL) and
Nadia Toth (Dalton, PA) each put up six kills.
Aryana Girvan (Clarion, PA) had four aces, three coming in the first set.
Â
The Falcons will now gear up for a crucial tri-match on Saturday, October 5
th, when they travel to Bethlehem in the Lehigh Valley at Northampton CC. At 2:00pm ET, Lackawanna will take on their Region XIX DII and EPAC rival, Delaware Tech CC.
