THROOP, Pa. – Lackawanna College men's soccer was in a tight game early into the second half, but the power from the Vikings of Mercer County CC was too much for Lackawanna to overcome, as Mercer scored five second half goals to pull away for a 7-1 win at Mid Valley HS on a sun-soaked Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons (3-5-0, 0-2-0) were behind 2-0 at the break, under constant pressure from the Vikings (14-2-1, 2-0-0), but managed to nick a goal early in the second half, as

th minute. Pepsin headed home a corner kick from
Sebastian Carmona (Scranton, PA) to give Lackawanna a little juice.
The momentum was short-lived, however, as Mercer scored goals in the 56
th, 59
th, and 60
th minutes to stretch the lead back out to a 5-1 margin. The Vikings scored twice more before the end of the game to round out the scoring.
