Lackawanna Fell To Harrisburg Area and Frederick CC In A Pair of Matches On The Road

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Lackawanna College women's volleyball dropped a pair of matches in tri-match action on Saturday in Harrisburg, PA, falling to Harrisburg Area CC 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-14) before then dropping a five-set match against Frederick CC (21-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 15-5).
 
The Falcons (7-8) fell in straight sets to Harrisburg for the second time this season, but had a 2-1 advantage over the Cougars from Frederick heading into the fourth set. The set went back-and-forth, but Frederick held a sizable lead late. Lackawanna tried to rally, but ultimately couldn't get closer than three points before Frederick got the win. In the fifth and final set, Frederick opened up a 9-1 advantage and never looked back, as the Falcons' tired legs caught up with them.
 
Lackawanna will look to bounce back when it re-enters Region XIX DII play on Tuesday, October 3rd. The Falcons are set to host fellow DII opponent, Harcum College, for a 6:00pm ET start inside the Lackawanna College Student Union.
