SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna College romped through its pair of matches on Monday night, winning its NACE Starleague Varsity Premier League match-up with Wayland Baptist by a 3-0 (6-0, 3-0, 4-2) mark, and then knocking off Alexandria Tech CC in its NJCAAE Invitational match-up by a 3-0 (10-1, 6-1, 14-2) margin.
 
Things started in NACE Starleague competition, as the Falcons faced off with Wayland Baptist University out of Texas. While the goals were certainly there, it was the defensive plays from all three Falcons that were crucial to their success this evening, as Lackawanna combined for ten total saves in their own end and did not allow any goals until late in the third match. Guadalupe Oca (Eagle Pass, TX; Gamertag: AyeOca) led the way in the series with six total goals with 12 shots on target. Together, the Falcons combined for 30 total shots while burying eleven in the back of the WBU net. Lackawanna College swept Wayland Baptist in three games in order to secure the victory and move them to 3-1 in the NSL Varsity Premier League regular season.
 
Match number two of the evening was featured on the EsportsU main Twitch channel versus Alexandria Tech CC in NJCAAE Invitational action, and it was an offensive clinic from Lackawanna College from the start to the finish. The chemistry between Matthew Kelly (Jenkintown, PA; Gamertag: JKfoshizzle), Zakeree Chappa (Gamertag: zak.), and Oca was on full display this evening as the trio combined for 50 total shots on target in the three games. Once again, Oca was tje points leader in this matchup with 14 total goals throughout the series on 26 shots. Chappa added seven goals of his own on 15 shots, while Kelly added another six goals. The Falcons maintained the majority of the possession throughout this matchup and were displaying some insane acrobatic abilities and three-way passing plays. The win keeps the Falcons unbeaten in NJCAAE play in the spring semester.
