SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna College Super Smash Brothers Ultimate went 3-1 this week, knocking off their opponents from Heartland CC on Wednesday night.
 
Xavier Lasenburg (Scranton, PA; Gamertag: lvlX) found himself up against a former foe from last season, Praspian from Heartland. Lasenburg used his old faithful Ryu pick and was able to end his match in three short rounds against Praspian who used Joker and Inkling. X is now 2-0 in regular season play.
 
John Howells (Gamertag: jan) found himself in a tough and lenghty matchup versus Flyin from Heartland CC in his duel. Flyin used Cloud, a character from Final Fantasy VII, while Howells chose Bowser from Super Mario. Unfortunately for John, his newly equipped skills with Bowser were no match for his opponent, and he was dispatched in three rounds, moving him to 0-2 during regular season gameplay.
 
Bikrom Chanda (Gamertag: BA$H) and his character, Wii Fit Trainer, went up against Chrovy from HCC, who tried out two characters this evening: Mario and Dr. Mario. It wouldn't make a difference, as neither Mario pick was able to make BA$H sweat as he swept his opponent in a three-round rout, moving Bikrom to 2-0 on the year.
 
The final match was between Cayman Ravenell (Gamertag: Cmillith) of Lackawanna College and ddlop of HCC. Ravenell chose Wolf main, while ddlop pulled out Yoshi. Ravenell kept control for the majority of the best-of-five, which went four rounds before the 3-1 win for Ravenell. Cmillith now moves to 2-0 in regular season play.
