BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Late in the first half, Lackawanna men's basketball had successfully overcome a double-digit deficit and shown the home squad from Harcum exactly what it was capable of. But, just as suddenly as it came, it went, as the Bears hit a 14-0 burst to go back up double-digits just before the break, and the home squad went on to win 110-74 over Lackawanna on Sunday afternoon in a Region XIX divisional crossover contest.
Â
The Falcons (3-7) trailed 28-16 midway through the first half, but battled back to cut the deficit to two, climbing within 38-36 with just over two-and-a-half minutes remaining before halftime. Just as quickly, Harcum turned up the heat, going on a 14-0 run in the blink of an eye to re-establish itself in front. The second half saw the Falcons get things as close as 14, but the Division I Bears (10-1) started burying their three-point shots to overwhelm Lackawanna, pulling away for the impressive win.
