DUNMORE, Pa. -- The men's soccer squad put together a spirited, complete effort, knocking off Essex County College 4-0 on a cold and rainy miserable Saturday afternoon at Schautz Stadium in Dunmore.
The Falcons (5-4-0) piled up 18 shots and scored two goals in each half, pressuring the Wolverines through most of the contest. The first breakthrough came about a half hour in, when
Elhadji Omar Kallo (Sophomore; Kensington, MD) pounced on a ball and pushed it past the keeper for a 1-0 advantage.
Lackawanna doubled its advantage nine minutes later, when

th minute.
In the second half, the Wolverines got a little more comfortable on the ball, giving the Falcons some pressure to deal with.
Jahdale Givans (Sophomore; Bronx, NY) had three second half saves, and finished with five total. Eventually, the Falcons broke through, when a nice through-ball from Kallo found a streaking
Sebastian Carmona (First Year; Scranton, PA) down the right side. Carmona cut into the field, and managed to beat the keeper to make it 3-0 in the 78
th minute.
Then, in the 84

Daniel Hayner (First Year; Northumberland, PA), who had just subbed on a minute beforehand, scored on an excellent cross from
Anthony D'Angelis (Sophomore; Dade City, FL), deflecting a shot past the keeper to make it 4-0 and set off a wild celebration in the rain.
Lackawanna had ten of its 18 shots on target, and had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

th, when they are scheduled to travel to Harrisburg Area Community College for a Region XIX divisional crossover contest. That game is set for a 3:30pm ET kickoff from HACC in Harrisburg.
